A browser tool made in HTML5.

Gruescript is what I've been looking for to play interactive fiction games on my Kindle Fire 8. It combines the ease of clickable links found in choice type games and the navigation and puzzle solving found in traditional IF text adventure games.

The game engine is separated from the game data so there is no need to write JavaScript or long winded Inform 7 prose. The game data uses objects such as rooms and things with procedural blocks added. Games are downloaded into a single HTML file that can be played - and edited - in any modern browser.

Gruescript comes with several examples and has excellent documentation to get you started.

I really like this software and highly recommend it for anyone interested in writing interactive fiction games.
