I almost knocked this down to 4 stars. The first half of this game is amazing. It doesn't quite have the visual style as their later game Our Red String, but the visuals are still pretty good. The writing and characters still definitely put this in the top 3 best adult VNs I've ever played. But as I kept playing, the problems with it began to add up. The first thing that was off was that the game has a super weird relationship with race (ie racism) that I wasn't expecting. I don't think it does enough to make it clear "this section is just for people who have a raceplay fantasy, and shouldn't be taken seriously" and instead veers into feeling actually problematic. That would just be a footnote if it weren't a variety of other problems in the second half of the game. The closer to the end the game gets, the more and more frequent typos and glitches appear. There are several points where the game just crashes and you have to resolve the issue to proceed. A disappointing ending to a really promising opening.
