Minotaur Hotel immediately took its place amongst my favourites. The central concept is unlike that of any other visual novel I've read, superficially bizarre (even for an FVN) but revealing itself as deep and cheering- especially since there are mechanics for developing the Hotel itself as you become invested in it narratively. The puzzles make for choices that really matter to the central romance. The parallel plotline develops itself with welcome contrast, and I'm intrigued about the mystery of the hotel. The inclusion of the music of the lyre is a lovely capstone to the lyrical writing.
