I love Tusks as a thoughtful excursion through so many contemporary themes. Expressions of queerness, intentional experiments in community, living ones ideals, the encroaching of monoculture and many, many others make up the meat of the visual novel, written in a way that rewards a slow pace of reading. Tusks has a clear point of view that nonetheless encourages consideration, creating a believable world even with its judicious use of detail.
