There really is something genius here, in it's design. There's something existential about the whole thing, in all it's horror and it's absurdities.
You sometimes walk around this game senselessly enraged about the design and architecture of the place. As if you know on a deep level somewhere that this place wasn't designed for humans to walk around and explore, and that it should be. I found myself walking around and thinking 'Why is there ANOTHER type of carpet here?! Why is there a wall divider here, dividing nothing?!' It perfectly captures that frustration of walking around a badly-designed, ancient corporate building in a small town, trying to find a meeting room that you thought you knew where it was.
And at other times you walk around just laughing, along with the building and it's designer as if we're both in on some elaborate joke. Laughing because you're still hopelessly lost, wandering around these vast open spaces that are still clean, lit and ready for humans. That the party is happening elsewhere and no matter what you just can't find it.
This was the real liminal horror I was looking for. Performance is sometimes a bit janky, and the puzzle bits I could probably do without.
