The character controller is slippery - I don't think it suits this style of game. Whenever you notice the game as a game it pulls you out of the world, and every new scene begins with the player dropping down onto the mesh, which add velocity to the character and causes it to start slowly sliding in a direction. That combined with how slippery the character felt to control kept pulling me out of the game - I never really slipped into the perspective of the character because I'm a person watching the character move in an unintended way.
One part that I really enjoyed was how the aisles in the gas station seem to go on forever as you walk to the counter, but when you turn around to leave there are only a few between you and the door. I thought this was really well done. I didn't make it past the bigfoot because of how tedious I found the character controller, but I wish the game was a little more polished so I could've experienced more of the game to see what other cool little things are in there - I'm sure there are.
