This game is pretty impressive.  One sees a lot of basically identical metroid-likes, as well as a lot that have some gimmick that exists more to differentiate the game than to improve it.  VSR's timeline-altering mechanic is new, interesting, and totally integrated with every part of the game, from individual enemy encounters to the player's overall path through the entire game.  Fun, polished metroid-like unlike any other.
