Josh Powlison rated Crumble - Game jam version

A browser game made in HTML5.

Really goofy and fun, enjoyed playing through this without having any idea what was happening: "Okay, I'm going through... wait, CANNONBALLS?!" The environment is great in that it's easy to read at a glance, varied, and fun to look at. I've probably poured over an hour into this game, when a successful playthrough is at least 2 minutes (and only once have I hit that glorious 2-minute mark).

Fun, challenging, does get frustrating for one main reason: when you jump, you don't actually jump UP, you jump the opposite of the direction of the ground. This means in some cases on uneven ground you suddenly jump sideways off a cliff, which is really frustrating. I'd also love to see a directly-below shadow, so you can aim your landings more effectively.

I like that the contrast between the main character and environment is so clear, so you'll never lose your character in regular play (until some wall completely obstructs the camera, but at that point you're pretty much screwed anyway XD).

I keep coming back to this game and don't think I'll be able to bring myself to remove it from my computer, because it's just so fun to go back to and so goofy! Great work!
