Ugh, I've been following the development of these characters (from what has been publicly shared) and I'm literally obsessed with them...my own interpretation is that each being represents a response to trauma (oyster being closed off, but feeling helpless with how their body is being used, angel being obsessed with making their body fit them + using others to get there, the unicorn needing physical affection and clinging onto people that dont care about them), that they were all inside the same body the entire time. Each bit was a part of the same wounded heart that has to stitch itself back together after its parts come apart. It also seems very cyclical in nature to me, like a constant tearing and sewing oneself back together again.

But no this is a very, very beautiful zine and I adore it very much!! Everyone should buy it
