This is a mechanically very interesting and tonally quite melancholy game that I enjoyed very much. Sometimes, doing a certain thing is valuable in its own even if it proves to be fruitless in the long run. The events unfolding are so different that no one playthrough feels the same. The cycle concept also make me imagine all the subsequent characters will find a mark left behind by the last one - they're all connected in this desperate endavour to keep the menagerie thriving against the odds. Beautiful and haunting.
