This game is amazing.  It's cosmic horror in a tight, tidy package, built on the excellent Cairn game system.  As Cairn itself is built on the stellar OSR-style games Into the Odd and Knave, that gives Liminal Horror quite an illustrious pedigree.  If you like cosmic horror, and you prefer your games lightweight OSR, you can't do better than Liminal Horror.  Characters in the game don't make skill rolls.  Rather, the gamemaster gives out information freely, perhaps giving more information to characters that have a background suitable for examining the potential clue with greater finesse.  For example, a player-character with a Psychologist background might be able to more readily discern that a non-player-character is lying because they're desperately trying to cover the fact that they're scared, whereas the other player-characters might only realize that the non-player-character is being untruthful.  Maybe everyone in the group hears the gunshot in the woods, but the player-character with a Hunter or Soldier background realizes its not a rifle shot but a small caliber pistol.  No rolls, just common sense based on character's backgrounds (you can either roll your background on a chart or make one up with the gamemaster's approval).  Rolling comes into play when your character needs to make a Save against something bad.  There are only three Save stats: Strength, Dexterity, and Control.  Anyway, I could go into greater depth, but suffice to say this game is a home run if you like simple, solid, fast old-school mechanics that don't get bogged down in minutae, yet don't leave you hanging with rules gaps.  Again, the game's lineage (Cairn, Knave, Into the Odd) is so solid, this game simply transports those solid rules into cosmic horror territory.  Pick this game up.  Read it.  Play it.  It's time very well spent.
