A few days ago I watched My Dinner with André for the first time, and the second time, and the third time. The movie really reached out to me like desperate plea from years past, still just as directly relevant today as when it came out.
Coincidentally ( probably c: ), I have a deep love for the game boy advance and games in general, and a friend recommended this game to me. It was amazing to see how recently it had come out. This morning I downloaded it and played it on my GBA SP three times, solely using one dialogue option each run.
The story and dialogue capture exactly the same kind of feeling that the movie evokes in me, applied to a different overt subject matter. It's deeply immersive. I could hear André and Wally's voices in my head as I read the text, full with their unique mannerisms and inflections.
Loving games, the topic of conversation was touching. I haven't really made games for the world myself, but I have a certain reverence for exactly the types of games that one person has an idea for and just goes for it, putting it out into the world. That kind of creation and self expression is beautiful to see, and getting to witness those creations brings a lot of joy to my life. This is one of them. Thank you for making this. I hope you know that for everyone who takes the time to tell you, there are many more who are touched by your work.
Looking forward to what you do next
