Cuttlefresh rated Crumbs

Cuttlefresh rated a 12th of May, 2022 3 years ago
A downloadable 12th of May, 2022 for Windows.

It's difficult to speak on Quinn's games for me, since they're both an integral part of my own game development journey, my experience with art and my own metamorphosis as a person. Quinn K. is somebody who I consider not just an inspiration, but a friend; you've been warned. What I'm about to say has been tainted with that which people call admiration.

Crumbs is an autobiographical look into a bunch of days of the life of a struggling artist. As with any of Quinn's works, it's beautifully crafted, the penship on display as great as with An Outcry, the art as great as There Swings a Skull, the charm and wit and pain and feelings present all as they should be. It should be noted, though, that this is a deeply personal game. You may not understand everything that Quinn writes, and that's okay. You're not Quinn. I'm not Quinn. That's how it should be. We cannot understand other people completely, what matters is the common experiences that bring us together, and Quinn nails this in their, and let me put this in italics so you understand it better, message, completely. I sincerely cannot wait for more from Quinn, untethered by the limitations imposed upon her by The Scourge of '03.
