This game has a lot of potential, I would really love to see it developed more. Some of my thoughts:
1. The tutorial would instantly be improved if the game showed you what to do instead of telling you what to do. You can do this by telling the player to "Press B and place walls" and then have the player place walls in a well-defined location. Do this for the rest of the tutorial. At the end of the tutorial, the player should be left with a super basic space station that is fully functional. This will not only equip them with basic understanding of the game but it will be far more engaging
2. After I completed the tutorial I began setting up little goals to complete and things were generally progress alright, until a giant fucking ship came out of nowhere and obliterated all of my progress! Some sort of little warning (THE ENEMIES ARE GONNA GET YOU IN 123 SECONDS!) would have at least let me believe that my loss was my fault, but I totally felt cheated by the random mob showing up.
3. I, for the life of me, cannot understand how the drone management system works. I can tell that you can click one of 4 buttons that will manage drone behavior and get them to prioritize certain tasks, but it is so unintuitive to work with and almost feels totally random.
4. Give the player some way of generating metal on their own. Lots of my playthrough consisted of me waiting for metal to appear so that I could do other things, and there were even some times when it was impossible for me to create metal without deleting a bunch of stuff (a problem that will cause most new players to just stop playing). Both of these problems could be solved if you allowed the player to do something like command a drone to mine an asteroid and process the ore for 1 metal every 6 seconds or let the player click an asteroid into metal or something.
