In an indie scene dominated by piss-poor attempts to recreate the PS1 aesthetic, Funny Pizza Land is much needed breath of fresh air, with painstaking attention to detail put in to ensure that it feels like a game that came out in the early 2000's. This, coupled with the mindbogglingly surreal atmosphere, makes for something incredibly disturbing yet fascinating.
But the main issue I have with it, and the reason why my rating is so low, is how little content there is. It takes around half an hour to beat this game on your first try. This would be fine if the game was much cheaper, but it isn't, as a 7 dollar price tag was added once the game started to gain some popularity. There simply isn't enough gameplay or artistic substance here to justify the price.
