Diabolus in Musica does a lot of things well with the exception of it’s central characters. I liked the art; the sound effects; the music; the tone; and the story. What I didn’t like was the two main characters you interact with: Haydn and Niccolo. I just wasn’t that interested in either of them. I was much more interested in Elise but she got next to no time in the story. In the end this didn’t hamper my enjoyment of the game. It is a short game but it is up front about being made for a game jam so I expected a short run time. There are a couple branches but don’t expect a ton of choice.
I played Diabolus in Musica on Linux. It never crashed and I didn’t notice any spelling errors. You can save whenever you want and there are fifty four save slots.

Overall I do recommend Diabolus in Musica. Outside of the two characters I loved the creepy atmosphere and production values. I finished it in thirteen minutes which given the game is free is fine.
