An open source software that trumps most that are paid. I have been using this so much even though I have zero experience in game development. The updates as well are making this already powerful tool even better for us indies. This cannot be aid enough, the time invested into this amazing tool is a testament to the maker(s) talent as well as discipline to delivering high quality. I would highly recommend for newbie developers and pros alike.
