I only gave this 4 starts instead of 5 because there are some things that a purist will probably not like.  He made some changes to the core River Raid formula, but the base gameplay is here.  Of all the RR reboots that I've seen, this one gave me enough new and enough old to be considered a sequel.   Give it a shot!
