Faxmachinen rated Love Sucks: Night One

A browser game made in HTML5.

Consent: 4/5 - PC/NPC agency is good, player agency could be better.
Inclusiveness: 2/5 - Straight male PC only (for now). Not a dickhead though.
Story: 4/5 - Manages to create conflict without strife.
Sex: 5/5 - Deftly demonstrates that sex doesn't have to involve penetration.

Despite someone plotting to (reluctantly) murder you, there isn't really any part of the game that feels threatening or uncomfortable to the point of being a turn-off. Everybody's motives are made clear early on, and the protagonist takes on the risks willingly (player doesn't get a say).

The protagonist is a straight male but doesn't feel like the stereotype, so I didn't really mind playing as him. There are also plans for adding a female PC to the game in the future.

The sex scenes are all unique, and do a good job of feeling intimate and wholesome rather than exploitative. At its worst you're a peeping tom, at its best you're giving pleasure without expecting any in return. Many scenes can't be skipped or exited, but none of them involve bondage or other kinks where player consent is essential.

Yes, there is an instance of actual hand-holding, and no, it's not the butt of a joke. It's just a sweet and heartfelt moment.
