I decided to take a look at this game as the idea of multiple emotional forces trying to steer the character/story reminded me of some things I've made myself. I wanted to learn how Bedlam does it differently. As it turns out, this is definitely the more intuitive and general way to do it!
Initially I was reminded of Everyone Is John, an infamous free RPG from the years of yonder. The game treats the idea of delusions humorously and it really shows its age. Bedlam handles it more appropriately while still being very game-like. I really want to give this a shot when I can hang out with my RPG friends again.
So five stars for showing the difficulties of split thoughts in a gameable form. This could have very easily turned into schlocky horror, but it didn't!
