We got multiple insights from doing playtests for our game. We learnt about the public opinion about our game mechanics, difficulty and aesthetics. We learnt that the difficulty of our game was relatively easy with players not finding the game as a challenge. We got comments about the game feeling pretty empty without many things to do. So we learned from this and worked on improving enemy placement and environments so the player might find the game more challenging in some parts of the game. We decided on adding obstacles that can help or obstruct the player, adding more difficulty to the game. We also got feedback on the movement, one common point made across all playtests was that the movement felt very floaty and rather slow which was the opposite of what we were going for. To combat this we made plans on adjusting the setting for player movement.
These were the major pieces of feedback that we decided to work on for our game.
