Week 10 Devlog Cold Conflict

For this week we managed to get a bit of things done and completed. We diverted our attention to the smaller problems within our game like issues with textures and basic interactions with the terrain. Through the external playtest we did learn however that some of these problems do still exist so extra touch ups are required. We set up an end state to the game so it is possible to finish the game rather than spending time in an open world soundbox. We set up UI elements in the game and fixed a bug involving enemies pathing through walls to hunt down the player.

The current build didn't meet our expectations for a game that's in its alpha, after analysing the play testers interacting with the objects and enemies in game we realised that there is a bit more that needs to be fixed and touched up. A couple of play testers had a couple of nit-picks surrounding the movement where it felt pretty floaty and awkward to control in the air.  Some people described the feeling of the game being very deserted which is why the goal for the next week of the game is to try and make the next build more action packed and filled with extra content. We will most likely dedicate the final week of this project to adding objectives to the game to make it feel more polished and finalised.
