Group indie game - Dev log Week 11

Welcome to the final blog post discussing our indie game "Seams" In this post i will be talking about my job through the entire process of development and my overall thoughts about this experience.

My job during this production was co-lead and Scrum master. I feel like these two jobs mix very well because being the lead and setting the tasks for everyone really helps you with filling out the scrum sheet since you already know what everyone does and what they are meant to be doing. I do kind of wish that I was able to contribute more to the rest of the team since I focused more on the external stuff like filling out the paperwork instead of working on the actual game and making things such as assets and music, in the end I did dabble in those by creating mock ups and soundscapes for a few things but they never ended up in the final product. In the end I am overall mostly satisfied with what I was able to contribute to our team. I feel like I have really improved an grown as a developer these past 12 weeks, I have learned a lot of things about external management (working on things for the game that aren't part of the actual game) that would make this process a lot quicker during my next project and then I would be able to focus on creating more things for the main game.

Next I would like to talk about the agile work frame and my thoughts about it.  I think that this method would be better used within a longer  development cycle as I stated in last weeks blog post. One way to fix this could be to extend the time between the cycles but that wouldn't feel right within the limited time we already have, so in the end a better solution would be to just use a different work frame entirely, maybe the agile method works for longer development cycles or simpler games but I do know that it didn't mix that well with ours.

That is the end of my blog posts! Thank you for reading and have a great day!
