Let's take it easy!

Dearest Reader.

Right after finishing Owl On His Own,  I've began working on my unannounced RPG game. Though I've made quite a few progress with the game music and pixel art,  there is no denying that my next project is somewhat ambitious, and may take a very long time to complete. While I do have the story, scenarios and concepts completed, this project has proven to be very time consuming, and I don't want to stick the rest of my life working on the same project. That's why I decided to work on some quicker and easier to make games, while also working  on my unannounced game.

And speaking of quicker and easier to make games, I already have a little game in the works! Introducing: Isle Home Cats! Very much like Owl On His Own, it's a text based adventure game. A story about a broken family of cats, that lives together in a single home, all within an isolated isle. This game emphasizes psychological drama and family affairs, with heavy inspirations from Silent Hill 2, The House (A Netflix original stop motion animation), and my very own family. The good news is the fact that the game is set in a single house throughout the whole story, so this makes it easier for me to make assets!

Tileset work.

Mostly everything I've done so far are walls and floors. Everything is subject to change.

Lastly, some news. So, I've been using Rpg Maker VX Ace ever since 2015, and although I wanted to "modernize" my working environment with the latest version of Rpg Maker for the longest time, neither MV or MZ managed to impress me. The biggest reason being the fact that both softwares use a 48x48 tileset, and I wasn't feeling like finding a workaround to fix this issue.  But that all changed when Rpg Maker MZ had an update that let's you have the revolutionary option of changing the tileset size! That definitely caught my attention! As of June 2023, I'm now using the engine. And I must say, I'm quite impressed. It's pretty good.

Thanks for reading,

Own Doing.
