Isle Home Cats - Update log #4

Hi everyone!

Progress on Isle Home Cats will unfortunately be slow in the next few months, as I'll be very busy with many important life matters. On the bright side, a lot of progress was done in the past two months. I gave a halt on creating new assets so I could focus more on making events, dialogs, UI elements, etc. Here's what I've done so far:

The game now has a fully functional introduction when selecting new game, although not 100% completed as it's still using some placeholders here and there. But for now, my focus is on making dialog messages when the player interacts with the world, and there's plenty to be made. And with dialog messages, there needs to be some character expressions besides it, right? Fortunately, every character I've made so far (Four of them) has their own completed sheet of faces! Oh, and the game now uses state of the art footsteps technology! So when you walk, a neat sound effect will play based on the materiel you're stepping on! Amazing, is it not?!

Lastly, I've redesigned the default UI elements from RPG Maker MZ, and remade the sprites to something that fits the game. There's also a dedicated sound effect for every UI action now (Select, press, cancel...). As for the font, it's the same I've used on my previous game. I just love Constantia so much!

That's all for now. Thanks for reading,

Own Doing.
