After a year of development, the demo for Isle Home Cats is finally out! Actually, it's been out for almost a month now, so check it out!
Ever since the release, I've received comments, gameplay videos were posted on YouTube, and so far, the game had a staggering 6 downloads on all platforms! While it might be a laughable number, these are the little things that keeps me from giving up. The fact that someone, somewhere in this planet, downloaded and played my game, warms my heart!
It is also worth noting that the demo was recently updated to version 0.2, which addressed some feedback I had from playtesters (Thanks GaijinBR). A few bugs were fixed and some small yet neat features were added, such as more events for the player to interact and a better volume slider at the options menu. For as long as I'm concerned, this should be the last update for the demo, meaning it's time to work on the full release!
But before I finish this blog post, I have one last thing to say: Previously, I've made it so I would post blog updates on the game development every two months. That was my own way to challenge myself into developing this project at a constant pace, as every few months I had to showcase my progress. However, I'm thinking about decreasing the frequency for these blog posts, because I don't want to spoil much of the game. With a longer time, I can make more stuff, and pick only the neat spoiler free content for showcase. I haven't made my mind yet if I should post a blog every 6 months, or just post whenever I feel like it. We'll see that in the future.
That's it then. See ya next time.
Own Doing.
