Isle Home Cats - Update log #2

Dearest reader.

In this month’s update, we’ll check out some of the new interiors and characters I've made ever since my last blog post.

Five more rooms have been completed and added to the pile.  That means only a few interiors needs to be made. As always, changes to these rooms are to be expected throughout development, and lets not forget that I can always new ideas for interiors. But for now, there are only four rooms that comes to mind that needs to be completed.

Something I haven't mentioned in my last blog post, is that a friend of mine who goes by Moveto, is helping me out in this project. He is the one responsible for the beautiful lightning which gives depth to every single room, and a sense of mystery that will blend in with music and sound effects. He has already helped me in Owl On His Own, so it's nice to have him back.

If we are talking about drawing pixels, then in my humble opinion creating sprite sheets for characters is the most time consuming activity since you constantly have to test out animations in game to see if they are up to standards. The good thing is that two more characters are now completed, fully animated, and up to standards! Meet Sueca (The blue eyed cat) and Santa (The yellow eyed cat).  About five (Or maybe six?) more characters needs to be done, so I'll start working on them as soon as I can.

Lastly, I just wanted to say that making games is a passion of mine, not my official job. Sometimes I feel like developing games, some others I feel like installing some shitty maps for Garry's Mod and play it around for 8 hours straight. As much as I want to keep progress as steady as possible, matters such as laziness and lack of motivation are things that happens in my life. That is the main reason I don't rush things, put release dates and charge money for my games.  But anyway, with all that being said, since this will probably be my last blog post of 2023, I’ll just go on ahead and wish everyone a happy new year. See you all in 2024.

Thanks for reading,

Own Doing.
