Last week, my group had a decent conversation about our project since we understood our courseloads, so we know the time strain and pressure; fortunately, Roxanne and I are ready for it.
Before starting the production process, we reviewed the GDD and Miro Board again to regain our memory. However, we had different perspectives and stuck with the same ideas as last semester. Besides, we discussed all the mechanics and how to perform them within the game. For me, the big question was about the short video, and we decided to put some fun and society news short videos since we don't really have time to shoot or make one. We both realized from the discussion that we should focus more on the narrative in the early stage, so we decided to write it together, and Roxanne is the lead writer, and I will be her supporter. Also, before initiating writing, we discussed the core story; we found some actual events and some experiences from ourselves, and we wanted our game can deliver sympathy and emotion to the players. We understand it's the most challenging part to achieve, so we are going to concentrate on narratives. We also like to share references, as the game theme was set up in China, and we have a lot of the same experiences to share; even though sometimes it's off the topic, we know each other better. I'd say it's pleased to develop the game and make friends.
In short, I enjoyed the process so much, and we knew we don't have solid skills, but we are trying to do our best and learn more skills to break through it. I think the challenge is full of our lives, so how would you do is all your decisions. Hopefully, we could do the project successfully.
