Do you wish Action RPGs had more roleplaying in them? Or even better, do you wish Roleplaying games had more action? Me too, which is why I'm creating Zoe and the Cursed Dreamer.Howdy, I am Game Endeavor. I created tutorials for the Godot Engine, but I've decided to start working on my own proper game. My favorite games to play as a child were the classic roleplaying games like Final Fantasy and Star Ocean. I would get deeply invested in their stories. But something I always felt these games lacked were an exciting combat system, and just the ease to navigate the world efficiently and immersively without having to stop every few seconds to be forced into a battle scene.
I dreamt of a game where you could directly attack enemies, without needing to wait in line for your turn. Other games provided this, such as the icon Legend of Zelda, but it lacked the roleplaying elements that I loved dearly. After many years of game development experience, I am ready to make lil' Endeavor's dream a reality.
My goals with Zoe and the Cursed Dreamer is to have an open world that you can explore. Discover secrets, delve through dungeons, fight unique and interesting monsters. I want to create an epic story with a cast of characters that you can't help but fall in love for. I want to feel like I could exist in this world, be one of the citizens that is unaware of what darkness is lurking just around the story's plot.
I've never been this excited for a project before, and I'm looking forward to this journey. If you want join me on this adventure, then follow me here on itch. You can also join our Discord community where other developers are sharing their game development journey. https://discord.gg/w7qh74M
