Can I give away my extra copy of pico8 to a friend?

I originally got pico8 when I bought voxatron and just the other day I got an extra copy when I purchased a bundle. In any other situation if I owned two copies of something I'd just give away the extra copy, but since this is digital I'm not sure how this works if it's even possible. If there's any way to transfer the license I got from the itch.io bundle I'd appreciate any help that can point me in the right direction to getting that done.

probably not, i think its kinda against the spirit of the bundle to be able to give out the keys, hence the no steam keys from it exception.

That's a good point. The bundle is still going on, I'll just tell them about the bundle instead. I probably should have just done that from the get go. Thanks for the response.

I am not so sure about the dev’s intention!

The license is personal but quite permissive, allowing you to run PICO-8 on multiple of your devices in your household (I forgot where I found that phrasing).

If you buy licenses on itch and on steam for example, you should have two licenses, right? But I don’t know if this should hold for a license obtained from the bundle, as the developer does not get paid in that case. I have asked on the BBS, we’ll see if zep answers!
