I get an error when double clicking on the mac downloaded app.

The application "PowerTheGrid_Level3_v7.2_Mac" can't be opened.

I'm running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.4 on a Macbook Pro 15 inch 2018.

Also running dual monitors (Some 3rd party applications have been messing up on dual monitors).

Btw, is there a level 2? I have only played the web version on the homepage, and that just seems to be that initial tutorial level. Are there others that I have missed?I paid for this level 3 app, but not able to start it yet :(

Developer

Hello, thanks for your purchase. The game is going through an extensive revamp, the level 2 disappeared for now.
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with the mac build. please send me an email to powerthegrid@gmail.com, I'll give you access to a web build of the level 3.
That's the best fix I can provide you for now.

Hi Claudio, I have the same issue. I'll drop you an email.

Have downloaded itch? I had the same problem until I installed it through itch.

@redfox05 have you tried to Open System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Open Anyway

Usually this button is shown after initial failed attempt to open app.

If it says that it can't be opened, open Terminal, type cd, space, then drag the application into the terminal and enter. After that, go into the package and go into the MacOS folder. After that, you type chmod +x Contents/MacOS/(the name of the document/s in the MacOS folder). This will usually turn it from a document into an executable and it will work. If it doesn't change it, it might work but also might not. After this when trying to open it, try once by double clicking, then right click and click open, then open anyway.

This worked for me. The only issue remains is that the game goes to full screen, but I can't see the edge of the game. Also, I'd like a windowed mode better.

The solution to that problem varies from game to game, as I have not purchased the game, I cannot give advice on this matter. For me, I usually just search around in the settings looking for a resolution or fullscreen setting and adjust that accordingly. If you can't see the edge of the game, it is likely that the resolution is set for a screen larger than yours. Some flash games that I played have a similar problem, but they were designed for smaller screens.

I would recommend attempting to contact the developer with issues of screen resolution and device compatibility, as they would likely have far more insight than I do.
