added mining to my mmo game

you need to click on Mining place to mine there is 1% change you get rewards

so you need to click on it alot to get some progress ;)

can not remember a game with that kind of approach

Single click only has 1% chance of getting anything? that's a chore. What kind of ore or items player could get from mining anyways?

yes mining is hard in this game and its where aggressive creatures roam

A flat 1% per click is harsher than it sounds. After 100 clicks about 37% of players still have nothing, and after 300 clicks about 1 in 20 still do. Those dry streaks are what make it feel like a chore rather than hard.

Two ways to keep it hard without them. A pity counter: each miss raises the next chance a little and a find resets it. Or partial progress: every click chips off a bit of ore, a full piece drops when the chips add up, and only the rare finds are left to pure chance.

Either keeps the average rate you want while capping the worst case, and with aggressive creatures around, the worst case is where people give up.

good idea i added a pity counte,,r each miss raises now the change by 0.3%
