Game Not Available For Download For Customers

I've already emailed support@itch.io an entire week ago, but haven't gotten any response.

Game: https://aeondreamstudios.itch.io/to-the-edge-of-the-sky-premium

I recently updated my game through Butler and some people who use the Itch.io app are able to update it. However, if people try to directly download it, they are getting the error “Nothing is available for download yet.” Another player is claiming she can't get it downloaded through the Itch.io app either.

Since this seems to only be happening to people who already had the game before the latest update, I assume this has something to do with the way I changed the game from Paid to Free so that I could offer cheaper DLC (no idea why I have to do that though... I don't see the point for the DLC price to have a dependency on the main game price). I hate the idea of having to change remove the DLC to its own page, though. Is there a better way to do this and get this fixed?

Someone else just emailed me with this from the Itch.io app.

You’re using a feature called “individually priced files.” All the files on your page have an individual price, but your project’s price is set to free. This puts your project into a weird state where people see they can download it for free, but they won’t actually have anything to access unless they make a payment high enough to unlock your files.

Here’s what I recommend: If you have a paid product, then set a minimum price on your project. If you have additional files at a different price point then you can individually set their price. If you have a free demo for paid product then use the demo checkbox next to the upload.

Read here for more info about converting a game from free to paid: https://itch.io/t/41926/who-can-download-my-game-when-i-convert-it-from-free-to-paid

We don’t have an official way to do DLC right now. Since they are two separate products that can be bought independently, then it probably makes more sense to have a separate project page. In the future we’ll have the ability to sell multiple products on the same page.

Thanks
