I just purchased this specifically to play on mobile, and the game tells me that I can only play three times a day because I'm running the free version.

Probably you are running the free version (like having both of them on your mobile and starting the wrong one by accident)? The free version shouldn't even have this image as a resource to display it. I don't have any other ideas.
