Please tell me about any enhancements you'd like to see in the game.

Hello there! Played your game a bit. Pixel art is good, interface looks nice. You've done a good job creating main menu and it's good that you want to have several characters in your game,  pickuping gems feels nice. Also, particles are nice.. However, shooting looks strange. There are too many projectiles going out of blaster so it doesn't feel quite right. What is really frustrating is that you often get a player in a situation where he can't avoid damage. In the case when there's no regeneration it is just not cool taking damage. For example, from bats or spiky flying thinks. I just can't dodge them or shoot them. Also, putting enemies above character and not allowing him to shoot up or down is strange. Like those things that dash into you from the ceiling or floor. It also adds up to the fact that you have a lot of low corridors so the character just can't jump in them.  It would be nice to see some enemy animations before attacking to let the player know that he needs to dodge it somehow. Controlls are a bit off because of dash that works when you hold down button and press jump. It pottentially can lead to accidental dashes into enemies or obstacles. Maybe some platforms are too narrow for the character or character is too wide.  Overall, level design is not good. Again, sometimes you just can't properly prepare for enemies. They just bash and shoot you from all sides and you take damage all the time. Because of it characters without regen are just bad. Also, I didn't get the difference between characters. If your levels have low ceilings then there's no point in higher jumping. Weapons are the same. I suggest making levels more open and widening platforms. It's not good when character is twice as wide as floor he is standing on. It's easy to fall down then. Adding opportunity to shoot straight up and down can help or changing enemies so that you won't want to shoot that way.  Game is hard, but not fair. Summarizing, I can't say that the game is all bad, but there are a lot of issues that sometimes make this just unplayable. Hope this feedback helps you. Will follow your updates.)

Thanks so much for playing my game! It really means a lot to me. I'm truly honored. but more than that - Thanks for providing such actionable advice! the game definitely has some quirks to work out and outright flaws to resolve. I'm just trying to march one step at a time to completion and learn as much as I can as I go so I continuously improve. I'm such an amateur, that it shows and advice like this is like GOLD. As a one-man team this has been quite a time investment already. I'll continue to carry out my vision with the advice of the community. Thanks for sharing your first responses to the game.

I'm glad that my post helped you.  Also, that's really a problem that you created quite a lot of assets and they need to be fixed in many ways, especially levels. However, I think you'll manage to make them work better. Hope that you can make a nice platformer out of your game.
