I thought I knew which game you were talking about right up to the skeletons, which I don't remember at all. The one I'm thinking of had you sat at something like a ZX Spectrum in a dark room in an empty house. The game on the computer was like a text adventure though, which becomes more creepy as it reveals your character's circumstances.

Sadly, I can't even remember the name of this game. It may well have been done by the same dev. Good luck with your search!
