Love of Magic is an erotic visual novel / sandbox game based on Urban Fantasy.

On the run from undead dogs, the player finds himself at Edinburgh University, studying to become an Evoker battlemage. Find love, grow strong, and discover your destiny as you interact with the quirky mages, powers and normies surrounding you.

I've spent the last 2 weeks fixing bugs and exploits; version 0.1.24 is the completed Act I (just uploaded new Android, PC and OSX versions). It's available at pay-what-you want; hopefully it'll be fun for everyone. Note that there are erotic elements to the game (some nudity and erotic scenes), so treat it as NSFW. Act I has around 2-4 hours of gameplay (depending on how fast you read, and how into the side-missions you are). It ends on day 20 of the game.

Beautiful, engaging characters and a gripping storyline - I'm hooked. A few bugs need working out though - I couldn't give the drink after buying it, and when I bought a second book and went to the cafe my character appeared naked and the game couldn't progress. Nevertheless - one of the most enjoyable and promising games of the time.

Sorry about that. 0.1.24 should have most of the bugs resolved (the pain of being a solo developer is testing stuff).  It should certainly fix the nudity in the coffee store issue.

With "give the drink" I assume you mean giving the bottle of Whiskey to Katie / Brass after losing the fight? Let me make sure that path works.

Okay, I think I fixed it. The bug is hillarious, actually.

It's supposed to set a flag called "HAS_WHISKY" when you buy it. But if you succeed in the Charisma check, it sets a flag called "HAS_WHISKEY" instead. Or as Katie would say, "some of that weird foreign shit". Fixing.

I'll try to do a new set of builds today; I'm in the middle of writing content for Act II, so I need to fence that off so it doesn't escape into the wild.
