Overall, I like the obedience system in 0.3, but I think a few things might need to be changed. Most importantly, the need for servants to increase submission before they gain Respect. A servant who was recruited peacefully, who you then shared a bed with, should not require punishing - they should respect you just fine. Slaves might have a harder time accepting your orders, but if you never mistreat them, they should eventually gain Respect - or perhaps start an event that gains Respect.


Another thing is that sending people outside to other locations to recruit servants is a bit tedious. You'll typically send them to arrive 1 hour before midnight, search, then wait an hour and search again. The entire process feels silly.

Instead, why not make recruitment or searching a job? Send someone with good Charm to a location and they will occasionally come back to new servants or opportunities (rare items for sale, new dungeon locations, new quests). With mansion upgrades, you can pick which race you want to focus on finding, increase overall quality of candidates, or unlock new locations to search in. This would allow for more events, a job for Charm servants, allow raid-type attacks for resources from the mansion, and give a reason to explore the world map, once there is one.

Some values are need an adjustment. Also you won't be able to sleep with about anyone as easily later as right now everyone is willing.
