Damnata is a deck vs deck dungeon crawler inspired by Slay the Spire and Magic: The Gathering.
In each encounter, the player fights an increasingly difficult opponent using a randomly generated deck, forcing them to quickly identify and exploit synergistic keywords rather than relying on a curated build. Combat is turn based and heavily influenced by turn order mechanics, making timing and sequencing just as important as card choice.
Right now, I’m focusing purely on the combat system before expanding the roguelite elements.
What I am Testing
- Is the combat fun moment to moment?
- Is it intuitive to understand what makes a good play?
- Does it feel challenging without being overwhelmed, given the random decks?
Feedback I'm looking for
- Were synergies easy or hard to spot?
- Did turn order meaningfully affect your decisions?
- At any point did the combat feel confusing or unfair?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
