Warrior Level Maker

Hello everyone,

I would like to sell the source code of my Android game, Warrior Level Maker, and I would like to know if this would be a good place to do so, since this is the first time I have thought about selling this game. Here is the link to the Google Play Sore

The reason for the sale is financial. As I was not able to properly promote the game, it is currently just taking up space on Google Play. The game is rich in features, especially in the editor mode. Like many dedicated developers, it cost me many sleepless nights and a lot of problem-solving, since I developed this game completely alone, from scratch.

Most of the images used in the game were taken from free sources on the internet, including assets from itch.io, and some others were purchased, such as the main character, which I bought from a member here, although I no longer remember his name.

The game contains 8 playable characters and many options that make the level editor unique. That’s it, and may God bless you all.

Yeah, you can sell games here. Source code i think it's more like an asset-devtool. Not the whole IP.

Don't you prefer selling a premium/extended version of the game instead? It could probably attract more people than the project files.

Hi Dreams,

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback and opinions with me!

Regarding the Extended License, please excuse my question as I am quite new to selling outside of platforms like CodeCanyon. I’ve mostly focused on game development itself, so I’m still learning how these premium licensing structures work in direct deals.

Could you please explain how you usually handle the Extended version? I want to make sure I provide everything needed while ensuring a fair and professional agreement for both of us.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi.

What i meant was, making a complete game. Like, IDK, more levels, enemies, etc, compile it and upload here with a price. While also keeping your current project as a demo version. (Not the source but the compiled app) like you already have in Play store. That could be renamed as 'Warrior level maker  demo' and then you could have a 'Warrior level maker' as full game with a price.

So far  i am not having anything for sale in itch.io . But when you upload a project here. 'Dashboard -> Create new project' you can add a prize to the different packages you upload.

I don't know how licensing in direct deals work either. Just shared some ideas.

Perhaps i misunderstood. Do you want to sell the whole source code to a single person/studio? or want to sell it as an asset, blueprints, etc. to anyone interested? (several unrelated persons i mean)

So, to be honest, I really would like to sell it. I published the game on Google Play back in 2022, and until today, maybe because I was not able to do proper marketing for the game, I did not get any results. In other words, the game is just occupying space in the world.

I truly want to sell it. It could be for any of the options you mentioned before, or to a company, a single person, or even to everyone. Once the sale is completed, I will remove it from Google Play, because I am no longer developing my own games. I stopped with the last one I posted here, which was the remake of Altered Beast.

From now on, whenever God prepares an opportunity for me to work as a freelancer to develop a game like this, I will do it.
