Hex Control

I would like to announce the release of my very first game on itch.io! You can check it out here.

Hex Control is a simple, non-violent, turn based strategy game in which players attempt to gain control of Hex City by reaching one of three possible victory conditions. These victory conditions are accomplished by the buying and selling of districts within the city and by spending influence to lobby the city council to enact new laws to penalise your opponents, change the rules of the game, or even change the victory condition itself.

Both single player and local hotseat multiplayer is available with AI opponents with four different difficulty levels rangin from pathetic to hard. Each game, both the map and the available lobbying actions are randomised and the relative frequency of each district type can be set before each game.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, you can check out the store page where you can download it for free here:

Hex Control started out as a bit of an experiment and it is my first time putting a game out there so any feedback would be very much appreciated. It is likely that more work will be done in the future to balance the game and tweak the AI as well as a possible overhaul of the GUI.

Cheers,
Jake
