My first game is officially done — Sector Zed is live!

Hey everyone!  I’m excited to share that after about a year of learning game dev and six solid months of building, my first full solo game Sector Zed is finally finished.

It’s a fast-paced, wave based zombie FPS set in an abandoned sci-fi warehouse. The goal is simple: stay alive as long as you can while each wave gets faster, meaner, and more chaotic. I grew up loving COD Zombies, so I wanted to make something small and focused that scratched the same itch.

Gameplay Loop:

Shoot zombies → earn points → unlock rooms → buy guns → grab perks → survive higher rounds.
Each wave ramps tension with faster zombies and a higher chance of the stronger ones spawning.

If anybody plays it I would love to hear what they thought!  Its been quite the challenge finishing my first full game, but the journey has been very rewarding and it was a major learning experience.

Hi mate!

I think your first game looks really great, it really brings back memories of the shooters I used to play when I was younger. :)

I just wanted to ask: does the game have an ending you can reach, or is it all about surviving for as long as possible?

Congratulations on your first release, and have a great weekend!

Hi there, glad you like the look of it.

At the moment its just about surviving as many waves as possible.

Thanks!  Have a great weekend yourself.
