Hello everyone who has already joined the jam or is planning to, it's great to see you here! To give a little bit of context, this event has been organized by a group of multimedia translation and accessibility students at the Université Bourgogne Europe in Dijon, France, with the help of our localization teaching staff and the kind support of Alain Dellepiane and the LocJam team. We have been glad to participate in previous jams and it's an honor to organize one! The jam will also mark the close of a two-day event we are running on 23 and 24 October on the theme "Intersections: Translation, Accessibility, Inclusion" - open to all, much like a LocJam - in Dijon and online. For anyone interested, For anyone interested, the program and registration link for this event is available at Intersections: Translation, Accessibility, Inclusion. To help kick things off, we are organizing an online event in English that will be open to all (all times CEST): 16:00 opening and presentation by the game developers with live Q&A session
16:45 online masterclass, with contributions from specialists working in game localization, inclusive translation and game accessibility, since we would like to encourage participants in the jam to address these themes as much as they can. There will be time for live Q&A for anyone interested and a recording will be made available afterwards.
Most of us are native speakers of French and we would also be very happy to help anyone working with this language combination find a group if they need one.
We’re looking forward to meeting you, seeing your work, and helping out however we can!
Have fun and good luck with the jam :)
