An online game translation marathon focused on creativity, discovery and collaboration.

The game to be translated is Mega Dreoilín by Namaco

Who can enter? Anyone with online access, of any age, from anywhere. We recommend working in teams.

Where can I find help and team mates? 👉Ask on our forum!👈

What do we translate? Manual and mock-ups from an art project game rich in political, cultural and mythological references. ~6000 words, Word and PowerPoint formats.

Will the game be playable? No, in the end the creators chose to just share a gameplay video.

What language can I translate into? From English into any language you like.

Who wins? LocJAM doesn't have any overall winner. Select entries might be discussed during a follow-up event o made playable at a later date.

Can I do more? Yes!

• Provide a brief explanation (500 words max, in English) of the strategies used, choices made and challenges encountered during the project
• Propose how to improve the game’s accessibility (1000 words max, in English, plus any screenshots, images and links)

Further rules:

• You entry to the LocJAM must be your original creation. Anyone found plagiarizing other translations, using AI or copyrighted elements they don't own  (both for its text and illustrations) may be disqualified
• You entry to the LocJAM must not contain nudity, or hateful language or visuals.
• Your translations must be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
