I’ve learned from these Community forums that each project analytics page automatically gets a seven-day (7d) impressions number and click-through rate (CTR) percentage when the impressions pass a secret threshhold.
The CTR is impressions (the project link showing up in site results) divided by views (click-throughs to the project page).
Okay, cool… why does CTR matter? I can think of several ways that number can be misleading as info. But I think it might be good for gauging the effectiveness of metadata: how well the title and tags match terms used by people who would go to the project page if offered the link.
Does anyone use CRT that way? Have you determined for yourself a specific percentage that marks a line between the metadata sufficing -versus- the project showing up too much where it isn’t wanted?
