My game flagged as dangerous and still not indexed after 3 weeks

So i'm making a game, and itch.io is flagging it as dangerous because it's supposedly password protected which is not truth, it does not contain harmfull material and it's not password protected file (virus total shows 0/64 just to be clear). And after 3 weeks i still can't search it up, i need to send links to people for them to download it because if it write the name "Apizlore" in itch.io it tells me that there are no results. I really need to fix these issues and i'd love to have some help from people that actually know how to fix it, thanks.

The quarantine message does not say what you think it says.

It is the same message for all quarantined games and it gives general warnings about certain things, like being suspicous of password protected files, and how people can be lured onto pages by the try my game method.

Also, having no positives on virustotal says nothing. Neither do certain positives. Have seen examples for both. Godot games are actually notorious for having false positives. So are other game engines. They are perfect hiding places to bundle malware with.

Sooo, what does the message actually say? It says that your games has to be reviewed manually, because the system thinks, for whatever reason, that there was activity that might or might not indicate ill intent. If they would be sure, the game would have been suspended or deleted. Right now, people still can download it, but they are warned to be careful.

Further reading here (this also covers quarntine, becaue qurantined games are also delisted while in quarantine) https://itch.io/t/4120453/unofficial-searchindexing-faq

thanks man, this is a very good explanation. can i somehow contact itch to tell them about this? bc i’m sharing the link on a lot of social media and people sometimes just don’t download it because it’s supposedly dangerous, I just want it out of the quarantine. Again, thanks a lot, ur awesome

You do not need to tell them. They know. They just have a lot to do, so processing quarantined games and other things take a long time.

In my opinion, pestering them makes waiting time even longer. So they should just update their faqs accordingly. People in your situation often send mails to support and then make another thread because nothing happens for weeks and support does not respond. (The faq talks about days, but it is weeks+).

ohh, okay, i get it i get it, i didn’t have plans to send email anymore and with the one i sent out i can’t do anything actually. But yeah you’re right man

In reference to my previous reply, never mind i contacted them to manually review Apizlore  already and i’m waiting for a response, again thank you.
