Hey everyone,
I just released a small indie game for SoloDevelopment Summer 72h Jam #8 and wanted to share it here. The theme was "Chaos", and I tried to capture the idea of structured chaos — where everything looks random at first, but there’s actually a hidden pattern.
In Hidden In Plain Game, you explore a simple scene where NPC kids are playing. What you see might look like random movements, but there’s actually a hidden ruleset they’re following. Your goal is to observe, figure out the rules, and win the game they’re playing.
It’s a short observation puzzle — no instructions, no hand-holding (except for first tutorials maybe) — just you, your curiosity, and a little patience. Watch closely, move around, try interacting, and things will start to make sense. It's a relatively short game (just three levels) which you can finish in one sitting, the levels themselves are inspired by classic kids’ games you've probably grew up with.
Made using Kenney assets (love their work!), with extra sound effects from Psionic and music Time Flies by Clement Panchout.
If you try it, I’d love to hear what you think — did you figure out the patterns? Was it too easy, too tricky, or just right ?
