Hey everyone,

We're working on an indie MMO-RTS inspired by *Rise of Kingdoms*, but with a key difference:

**No pay-to-win, no whales, no lootboxes — just fair gameplay and real strategy.**

### 🌍 What we're building:

- A persistent world map with open-field troop control

- PvP and PvE integration (capture altars, temples, resources, etc.)

- A real tech tree and meaningful long-term progression

- **Strategic speed-ups** earned through gameplay (events, quests, PvE), not purchases

- Balanced growth through logistics, upkeep, and population systems

We’re not just copying existing formulas – we want to build a game that rewards activity, teamwork, and planning, not wallets.

### 🛠️ Who we're looking for:

- Programmers (Unity, Godot, Unreal – we’re open)

- 2D/3D Artists (stylized or low-poly welcome)

- UI/UX Designers

- Music & SFX Creators

- Game/system designers & strategy enthusiasts

We would prefer building in **Unity (C#)**, but we're flexible depending on team input.

This is a **volunteer-driven project**, early in development. If you’ve ever wanted to help build a community-driven strategy game without the usual mobile monetization traps – now’s your chance.

Could've made sense without those 'we\us' =) because meanwhile you're looking for all the key members (design, art, code). Even the engine isnt chosen. What are all those 'they' doing then? Directing?

fair point – and I get where you’re coming from.

At this stage, it’s indeed still just me and a friend trying to form a team from scratch. So yeah, saying “we” might’ve been a bit optimistic – but it’s more about the mindset:
I want to build something together, and I try to talk like the team already exists to create that energy and sense of shared vision. Me and my friend are activly learning programming in our spare time, but are way too unskilled to do this project on our own.

You're absolutely right though – we’re still looking for core people across design, coding, art, and even deciding on the engine.
So if anyone’s interested in helping shape the game from the very BEGINNING, this is the perfect moment to jump in.
