GPL 3 License requirements

I wasn't aware Type Dreams had been released under GPL3.

In accordance with GPL3, I would like to request a copy of the source code (if at all convenient).

It’s on two computers. One I destroyed by hand (and boot). The other is offline, thousands of miles out of my reach.

I just picked the closest license from the itchio drop-down list since there’s not an option for custom (un)licensure on this service. Thank you for bringing it up; I really hadn’t given it appropriate attention. I’ve updated the license on this page, which might itself be a violation.

More here: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-violation.html

The last time I released an open-source project, it caused a ton of grief in the lives of others who thought they could just pick it up and sell it (ie: on mac, consoles, etc), but the source code actually sucks. In the case of type dreams it would be a nightmare worse by magnitudes; not worth anybody’s time, I promise.

Ooooh, I think I read somewhere before that this was the case, but I forgot.

I just have the silly and unrealistic idea of remastering it and it would show me how all the effects were achieved, exactly.

In some ways, there is a beauty to the ephemeral and incomplete nature of a software that itself tries to capture ephemera and a time long past.
