UI and Features Feedback on Hero Builder Art Tool - (Web, Free, Pixel Style)

Seeking reviews/feedback on Pixel Art Hero Builder 3.0. Tool to help devs make games faster.

  • Has 115 Animations, 400 Items & Armors - (New Weapon/Attack/Swim anims added)
  • 3.0 UI is far better than 1.0 and 2.0---clear tabs, colors, buttons + tooltips.
  • Diff Save/Export options to use freely in your own games & sprite sheets.
  • 14 Item/Armor types and 25 Role/Class presets to fit many genres.

Seeking FEEDBACK on:

  1. Appeal of 3.0 Experience  -  (As a Dev? As a Beginner? As an Artist? As a Programmer?)
  2. UX/UI order/usage/interaction  -  (Hover Tooltips, Tabs & the Guide section clear?)
  3. Utility of Current Animations for diff Game Genres
  4. Value of Hero Type section - (Hero Types tab took a lot of time to do for 25 role-class presets)

Designed for beginners, devs and artists to make games faster. Any insights, strengths, flaws and improvements are welcome, as I plan to build other Sprite Mixers.

UI Layout Preview:

Background music is nice for initial impression, but please add ‘mute’ button and/or ‘mute when page loses focus’. It is inconvenient when actually trying to use the tool as opposed to just looking at it first time.

Perhaps highlight currently selected style in ‘styles’ section?

analytics showed no one used it.

Some people. including me, use ad-blockers, so google analytics / tag manager do not show anything.

While browsing you code, I found a lots of comments like the one below, which made me smile.

DONE. ✅ ⏯️ Play/Pause button added back into UI, @AlSoKnown. Changed Music track too. 

Added the Color Palettes, License and Animations List to the free Attachments page  section.

I would also recommend to add progress bar / window to “Save Anims as Frames” button.

JSZip.genrateAsync accepts onUpdate callback as a second argument

ADDED Save for Mythril2D button for easy-import into Mythril and RPGMaker

Context: Mythril2D and RPG-Maker are popular top-down game builders! New Save features helps fit their layouts. The regular Save Animation/Save as Frames buttons are still there too :)
